AI & Generative AI Policy

AIGF recognizes the growing use of generative AI and AI-assisted technologies in research and scholarly communication.
AI tools must not be listed as authors because they cannot assume responsibility for the accuracy, integrity, originality, or ethical compliance of a manuscript.
Authors remain fully responsible for all submitted content.
Material use of generative AI in manuscript preparation, data analysis, coding, image generation, translation, or other research activities should be transparently disclosed where relevant.
AI-generated references, fabricated evidence, manipulated images, false data, or undisclosed substantive AI-generated content are not acceptable.
Reviewers and editors must protect manuscript confidentiality when using digital or AI-assisted tools.
